The standard Length for drawn tempered ASTM B819 tube is 5.8 meters. The ASTM B819 tubes are produced in two standardized thickness which are specially cleaned to suit medical installation standards. These standardised thicknesses are identified as Type L and K. The tubes shall be installed in conformance with the requirements of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 99 and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Standard Z 305, 1/2 7396.1, Nonflammable Medical Gas Piping System.
- ASTM B819 tubes’ wall thickness is derived based on ASTM B88’s specification.
- Drawn Tempered tubes are suitable for brazed/soldered connections
