Medical Gas Installation System is a system of piping installation for medical gas, which generally consists of Oxygen (02), Nitrous Oxide (N2O), Medical Air (Compressed Air), and Vacuum (Suction Air) to distribute medical gas from the Gas Resource (Central Room) to each patient's room and bed.

In accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No. 4 of 2016, concerning the use of medical gases and medical vacuums in health facilities.
The pipe used must be made of copper with a content of +-99% (ninety nine percent) or stainless steel, which is stated with a Certificate of Origin and a Certificate of Manufacturing (Certificate Of Manufacture, ASTM B819, BSEN 13348, JIS 3300, Type L/K). Pipes to be installed must be clean of dust, gram/iron powder (remains of pipe cutting and oil), and flushed with nitrogen.
Medical Gas Pipes must be labeled according to the Medical Gas that is flowed.

Based on its function, simply the inlet is the entry point for gas or liquid to the medical gas installation system, while the outlet is the place where the medical gas or liquid and medical vacuum exit from the medical gas installation system to the destination point of the installation.
